Wowza! What a legendary day for Today's Africa CIC Football Competition at Oriel High School's 3G pitch! Our supporting members were total champs, serving up refreshments like a pro team.
The goal of this event was to bring together local African communities in Crawley, and spread the word about the support our CIC offers. We're beyond grateful for the local organisations who believe in our mission and joined forces with us.
Even though the weather tried to throw us off our game, we kept our spirits high and enjoyed a good match! A special shout-out to all the members, players, volunteers, and families who made it happen, as well as Crawley Community Action, Sussex County Football Association's George and Aby, Sean Sheehan from Pathfinder, West Sussex, and PC Sam Tichband and his team. Thank You!
The competition was fierce and the players gave it their all, displaying some truly impressive skills on the field. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and applause ringing out from the sidelines. It was clear that everyone was enjoying the game, from the youngest fans to the most seasoned players.
As the day went on, the excitement only grew. The final match was a nail-biter, with both teams giving it their all. But in the end, there could only be one winner. The winning team celebrated with cheers and high-fives, while the other team congratulated them on a game well played.
